I did my summer reading! Now what?
Dear Fourth Graders, Happy September! I’m so excited to hear and read about the kinds of books you like, genres of reading you enjoy, and what you are interested in. The books you choose to read can help me get to know you so we can have an amazing year of learning. The directions are below. Please send this paper back to me, signed by an adult in your home and you, by Thursday, September 15th. Students may feel free to email me with any questions or concerns or ask in class! It is awesome when 4th graders have questions and decide to email the teacher, ask in class, or talk to friends about what to do. If you have tried everything else, you can ask your parents to email me. By the end of the year, independent problem-solving will be your most-improved skill! Happy reading, Ms. Granstrand
Step 1: Fill in the titles and authors you read this summer on the chart. If you read more than the required 3 books, pick two you liked the best. It doesn’t have to be in any special order. (The first one is done for you→ since we all read this one!) Step 2: Decide which mini-project you want to complete for each book. Read all directions carefully before choosing.
